(ARA) - A recent survey conducted by Harris Interactive found U.S. adults are more afraid of being in a car accident than experiencing a heart attack (25 percent vs. 16 percent). This is surprising since heart disease, the nation’s number one killer, claims one life every 35 seconds - more than 912,000 lives annually (American Heart Association) - and car accidents claim significantly less lives each year -- 43,000.
