Two Holtville Men Die when Car Enters Canal

(KXO) Two Holtville men died this morning when the car they were in plunged into the East Highline Canal. The California Highway Patrol told KXO News that at about 9:00 this morning a silver Honda Civic was seen travelling  at a high rate of speed on the access road on the west side of the East Highline Canal. The car ran off the roadway, plunged into the deep canal and overturned. The two men were trapped inside and drowned.
