Coachella Valley, California - Rick Gonzales, 80th Assembly Democratic Candidate, today received the endorsement of two distinguished, retired commanders, Joaquin "Jr" Reclosado and Ed Castillo-Rubio of El Centro. The retired military officers stand proudly with Rick Gonzales because they believe that he has the experience and leadership necessary to represent the 80th district at the state level. "I am extremely honored to have received the support of Commanders Reclosado and Castillo-Rubio," said Gonzales. "These are two Americans who have served their country with honor and distinction. I thank them for the trust they have in me. Like them, I will use my experience, knowledge and background to confront the challenges facing the 80th District face on. " Commander Reclosado, an honored Korean War Veteran and USMC retiree, served the Imperial County Sheriff's Department for 26 of years prior to retiring. Commander Reclosado is an active member of the VFW Post 3255 and also belongs to the Korean War Veteran Association Post 165 in El Centro. Commander Ed Castillo-Rubio served in active duty during the Vietnam War. He now belongs to the VFW Post 9305- El Centro. |
