Calexico, California - Imperial Avenue and Paulin Avenue continue to be closed between 2nd street and 5th street, both ways, due to a manhole cave in which took place last night, Monday, May 12, around 10:00 p.m. City crews are doing everything possible to avoid service interruption to residents and businesses in the area and anticipate completion between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. tonight.
Paulin Avenue will be open to traffic by 4:30 p.m. today. The border remains open, detour signs have been placed throughout the effected areas directing traffic going into Mexicali and entering Calexico. |
